About Us
Who We Are?
Our Commitment to the environment
Environmental Care
We are careful to minimise our impact on the environments in which we work. Our teams are committed to sustainable work methods.
Land Management
Helps us identify the resources and opportunities available in terms of financial gain and long-term sustainability.
Recycling & Sustainability
We care about out impact. We use local suppliers, battery or hand powered tools where possible and minimise our impact on the landscape around us.
Our Carbon Footprint
We do whatever is needed to reduce our carbon footprint as a company. If order to offset this in real terms, we take the opportunity to plant trees regularly.
About Us
I’ve worked in the industry for over 35 years, starting off from working for Dycol Ltd. I learnt all levels of tree surgery and tree removal during my time there. This led me into Power line vegetation management and eventually contracting for national contract companies and councils doing all sorts of landscaping.
Who We Are
Clear Roots are a specialist landscaping company working in both the public and private sector. We specialise in all sorts of landscaping disciplines, including bridal-way and footpath maintenance, hard landscaping, badger fencing, bridge and footbridge repair, stile and step maintenance and build.
We are committed to caring for the environment in every aspect of what we do, and take great care to utilise local suppliers to minimise our carbon footprint.
How We Do It
We are far more aware of how much of an impact contract work can have on the environment. Anything from driving on or ground clearance and its impact on the micro environments.
We use a lot of tracked machinery to reduce compaction, we sourcing materials locally where possible. If contracts are further afield, we will stay locally instead of driving to reduce pollution. We have also moved over to battery powered equipment where possible.
Another important part of what we do is plant trees to help cover our carbon footprint. This is in co-ordination with CO2 tonnage – mileage. We also ask clients if they would like trees planted to offset fuel use.
Our aim as a company is to constantly look at ourselves and how we can improve. We are into recycling and reuse the wood that we fell on contracts i.e. logs for fuel, chippings etc. and we also stack wood in habitat piles in areas of natural beauty to aid wildlife. We find this has been very successful when revisiting the sites and this is very rewarding.
Why Us?
We specialise in many landscaping disciplines, including bridal-way & footpath maintenance, hard landscaping, fencing, landscape furniture maintenance & build.
